Private lessons

 

Anyone, no matter their age or ability, can book private and group ice skating lessons with a coach. Indeed all the top skaters in the world are taught by both private and group tuition.

 

For those that are keen to do more "fancy stuff", it's recommended that the skater(s) have 1 or 2 private or group lessons a week, along with practicing 3 or 4 times a week.

All the professional coaches are fully insured and are qualified members of British Ice Skating, firmly known as The National Ice Skating Association (NISA).

Prices

Lesson charge consists of a coaching fee (paid to the coach) and Ice charge (paid to the rink). All lesson bookings must be made in advance.

Skaters using public sessions for lessons or public must pay the public session Admission charge. Please check Ice Rink time table for sessions and hire prices. Patch is £10 per hour.

The Coaches at Widnes Planet Ice Rink strive to bring out the best in every individual skater. Early morning patch is from 6am. Other times can be found under the about us tab, select the ice rink and patch link.
