The home of Widnes Ice Skating Club is Planet Ice Widnes based at The Hive. They offer a skating program called Skate Excellence for members and non-members alike. Please click here for more information. Planet Ice support the club to put on competitions, galas and masterclasses. Before Planet Ice took over in 2017 the rink belonged to ​Silver Blades and opened its doors 21st December 2012, the opening of our facility was eagerly anticipated in the Halton area and beyond. The rink has proved to be a positive attraction that people can enjoy!
